Pre-Order Policy

This Pre-Order Policy explains how presale purchases work at Mendoza’s Bike Shop — when they ship, when you are charged, what happens if a release date moves, and the cancellation rights you keep the entire time. By placing a pre-order, you agree to the terms below. This policy works alongside our Shipping Policy, Refund & Return Policy, and Terms of Service, and forms part of them.

What Is a Pre-Order?

A pre-order (or presale) lets you reserve a product — most often a new trading card release — before it is officially available. Popular releases frequently sell out at or before street date; a pre-order guarantees your allocation at today’s price instead of gambling on release-day stock.

When Pre-Orders Ship

• Pre-order items ship on or shortly after the product’s official release date, not at the time of purchase. This is how presales work across the industry and is not a delay.
• The expected release date is shown on the product page before you buy and repeated in your order confirmation email, so it is always in writing.
• Once your pre-order ships, you receive a shipping confirmation with tracking, and the free-shipping, packaging, and protection standards of our Shipping Policy apply in full.
• Release dates are set by manufacturers and distributors, not by us, and may occasionally change. If a date shifts significantly, we notify you by email at the address on your order — you never have to discover a delay on your own.

Payment & Pricing

• Payment is collected at the time you place your pre-order. This charge is what reserves your product and your allocation.
• Pre-order pricing is locked at purchase. If the market price rises before release, your price does not change — and we will never cancel your order because an item’s value increased. If our listed price drops before release, contact us and we will honor the lower price.
• Applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout, exactly as with in-stock orders.

Allocation & Shortages

In the rare event a distributor cuts our allocation and we cannot fulfill every pre-order, orders are honored in the sequence they were placed, and any order we cannot fulfill is refunded in full, automatically and immediately — with an apology, because we know a missed reservation stings. We do not partially fill sealed-product pre-orders without asking you first.

Mixed Orders (Pre-Order + In-Stock)

If your order contains both pre-order and in-stock items, the entire order ships together once all items are available — one parcel, one tracking number. To receive in-stock items sooner, place them in a separate order; shipping is free either way, so splitting costs you nothing.

Cancellations & Refunds

• Once a pre-order item has shipped, our standard Refund & Return Policy applies in full (30 days window, prepaid return shipping, no restocking fees, sealed product must remain sealed).
• If a release is canceled by the manufacturer, or we are otherwise unable to fulfill your pre-order, you receive a full refund automatically — no action needed on your part.
• You can check your reservation status any time via the checker on our Track Your Order page.

Changes to Release Dates

Because release dates are set by third parties, occasional movement happens. A manufacturer’s date change is not a defect in your order, and it does not obligate us beyond fulfilling your pre-order or, at your request, refunding it in full at any time before shipment. What we do promise: we track release calendars closely, we tell you promptly when dates move, and your cancel-anytime right never expires while the order is unshipped.

Our Communication Commitments on Every Pre-Order

• Order confirmation immediately, stating the expected release window in writing;
• A proactive email if the manufacturer moves the release date significantly;
• A shipping confirmation with tracking the moment your item dispatches;
• A human reply within 24 hours to any status question, any time.
